Poem To A Horse
You're too far to bring you closeToo high to see belowJust hanging on your daily dose
I know you never needed anyoneBut they're rolling papers for your grassHow can you give what you don't have?
You keep on aiming for the topAnd quit before you sweat a dropFeed your empty brain with your hydroponic potYou start out playing with yourselfYou get more fun within your shellNice to meet you but I gotta go my way
I 'll leave againCause I've been waiting in vainBut you're so in love with yourselfIf I say my heart is soreSounds like a cheap metaphorSo I won't repeat it no more
I'd rather eat my soup with a forkOr drive a cab in New YorkCuz to talk to you is harder work
So what's the point of wasting all my wordsIf it's just the same or even worseThan reading poems to a horse
You keep on aiming for the topAnd quit before you sweat a dropFeed your empty brain with your hydroponic potI bet you'll find someone like youCuz there's a foot for every shoeI wish you luck but I've got other things to do
I 'll leave againCause I've been waiting in vainBut you're so in love with yourselfIf I say my heart is soreSounds like a cheap metaphorSo I won't repeat it no more
