Back on Northern Shores
A thick fog lies aheadThe ocean's deadly calmTheir ship glides on the silent wavesInto the unknownHe cannot turn aroundFor him it's much too lateHe puts his back into the oarAnd rows towards his fate
The ship cuts throughThe milk white mistThough blind they clearly hearThe oar strokes of their mighty fleetBattle's drawing nearHis heart pounds loud and wildHe's waited for this dayThen suddenly a dragon's headAppears out of the haze
Back on the Northern shoresJust as he once sworeHe vowed to returnAnd to make them burn
Then a Northern wind picks upIt sweeps the mist awayA might viking fleet appearsPatiently they wait"Death or victory!"Words by which they standNo turning back! In for the kill!Led by thy command!
"All men grab your swords and shieldsThe enemies lay ahead! We'll make this bay our battlefieldand fill the waves with dead!"Darkness then descendsDay turns into nightA massive cloud of thousand arrowsFills the misty sky
With violent forceThe two fleets crashThe battle now beginsCries of war as weapons clashUncertain who will win
Thunder rolls 'cross the wavesLightning cracks the skyClouds release hail big as grapesAs arrows are let fly
Hear the berserks roar! They call to mighty Thor! The fury in their raging eyesWill burn forever moreHear the weapons sing!Feel the arrows sting! They climb onto the Earl's great shipAnd begin to swing
The fight is fierce as they attackWith sword and axe, no guts, no glory!Arrow pierced, they won't back downThey battle on with heart and furyThen it turnsThe flanking ships give wayAnd soon they are embattledStanding firm! Fight 'til death! They refuse to die like cattle
Fighting for his lifeNo holds barredSo close to revengeClose but yet so far
Then he stands before himIt's like the battle fadesHe sees his father's eyesAs he's struck into the waves
Back on Northern shoresJust as he once sworeHe has met his fateIn these cold dark waves
He looks to clouds up highA dead and distant stareShe comes out of the lightSee the chariot flareStanding on the shoreHe hears her silent callFreja leads him through the doorInto the great hall
