ABBA is a band, one of the most successful musical formations in the history of pop music. And in Scandinavia - the most popular band, ever created. In the band - Agnetha Feltskog on vocals, Bjorn Ulveus - vocals + guitar, Benny Andersson keyboardist + vocals and Annie-Frid Lingstad also on vocals. These guys broke into the charts all over the planet in the 1970s. The first success – 1972 - after recording the “People need love” song. And the worldwide popularity came after winning the Eurovision in 1974, with the “Waterloo” composition. Next was the “S.S.S.” single, which took the band to the first positions of the English charts, followed by “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen”, “Money, Money, Money” and much, much more. ABBA became the first European band to gain a leading position in the charts of all English-speaking countries. Each of their appearance in public was an event, and every new record kept becoming a hit. After ten years, in autumn 1982, the guys celebrated their ten year anniversary with “The First Ten Years” album, and dispersed, taking up their own careers.
