Bosnian Folk "U Lijepom Starom Gradu Višegradu" Liedtext

Übersetzung nach: EN

U lijepom starom gradu Višegradu
gdje duboka Drina vjekovima teče,
ostade mi samo tužna uspomena,
ašikovah s dragom skoro svako veče.

Evo sam ti doš'o, sjedim na Bikavcu,
slušam, Drina huči, novi dan se sprema.
Sve je kao nekad, pjevaju slavuji,
samo tebe, draga, na Bikavcu nema.

A i jutros slušam, pjevaju slavuji,
na Bikavcu brdu grada Višegrada.
"Ustaj, curo mala, ružo procvjetala,
već je zora rana Drinu obasjala!

Višegrade, grade, gdje je moja draga,
k'o da sa mnom nikad sretna nije bila?
Gledao sam Drinu dok me je ljubila
zar je naše noći već zaboravila?"

In the beautiful, old city of Visegrad
where the deep Drina has flowed for centuries,
only a sad memory remains for me,
I used to court my darling there almost every evening.

Here I have arrived for you, I'm sitting on the Bikavac
I'm listening, the Drina is roaring, a new day is being prepared.
All is as it used to be, the nightingales are singing,
only you, my darling, are not at the Bikavac.

Oh and this morning I am listening, the nightingales are singing,
on the Bikavac hill of the city of Visegrad.
"Get up, young lady, you blooming rose,
the early dawn has already illuminated the Drina!

Visegrad, oh city, where is my darling,
it is as if she was never happy with me?
I watched the Drina whilst she was kissing me,
Oh has she really forgotten our nights already?"
